Japanese Language Semantic Analyzer Based on an Extended Case Frame Model

چکیده
This paper describes a Japanese language semantic analyzer based on an extended case frame model, which consists of a re la t ive ly large col lect ion of case re lat ions, modalities and conjunctive re la t ions. The analyzer performs four stage analysis using a frame type knowledge base. It also u t i l i zes p laus ib i l i t y scores for dealing with ambiguities and local scene frames for the prediction of omitted case elements.

Context Analysis System for Japanese Text
A natural language understanding system is described which extracts contextual information from Japanese texts. It integrates syntactic, semantic and contextual processing serially. The syntactic analyzer obtains rough syntactic structures from the text. The semantic analyzer treats modifying relations inside noun phrases and case relations among verbs and noun phrases. Then, the contextual ana...
متن کاملA stochastic case frame approach for natural language understanding
A stochastically based approach for the semantic analysis component of a natural spoken language system for the ATIS task has been developed. The semantic analyzer of the spoken language system already in use at LIMSI makes use of a rule-based case grammar. In this work, the system of rules for the semantic analysis is replaced with a relatively simple, first order Hidden Markov Model. The perf...
متن کاملAn Executive Approach Based On the Production of Fuzzy Ontology Using the Semantic Web Rule Language Method (SWRL)
Today, the need to deal with ambiguous information in semantic web languages is increasing. Ontology is an important part of the W3C standards for the semantic web, used to define a conceptual standard vocabulary for the exchange of data between systems, the provision of reusable databases, and the facilitation of collaboration across multiple systems. However, classical ontology is not enough ...
متن کاملA Comparative and Contrastive Study on the Meaning Extension of Color Terms in Persian and English
We deal with a wide range of colors in our daily life. They are such ubiquitous phenomena that is hard and next to impossible to imagine even a single entity (be it an object, place, living creature, etc) devoid of them. They are like death and tax which nobody can dispense with. This omnipresence of colors around us has also made its way through abstract and less tangible entities via the inte...
متن کاملObtaining Japanese Lexical Units for Semantic Frames from Berkeley FrameNet Using a Bilingual Corpus
An attempt was made to semi-automatically obtain “lexical units” (LUs) for Japanese from the English LUs defined in the semantic frame database provided by Berkeley FrameNet (BFN) using an English-Japanese bilingual corpus. This task was a prerequisite to building a complete database of semantic frames for Japanese. In the task, a Japanese word is first translated into an English word or phrase...
